TUNErs were encouraged to be mindful of their single-use plastic consumption for the week, and the participation here was next level. The image to the left is all of the plastic collected over 5 days, and 2 offices! All of the plastic collected could fit on a 3'x5' tarp - That's unbelievable, team! In our Seattle office alone, we saved 1000 cups from our weekly office order - that's 200 cups a day! Imagine the impact we could make if we practiced this every day moving forward!
Our talented TUNE chefs sourced all of our ingredients from within 360 miles of our Seattle office. (The vast majority are actually from within 100 miles!). Interestingly, this is not that different from our normal sourcing. While occasionally we'll get in something tropical (bananas, avocados, etc) or a Tuna from Hawaii or fish from Alaska, we are happy to say that the Tune kitchen has been, and will continue to be, committed to a local, sustainable and organic future!
