Earth Week 2018 in Review

To celebrate Earth Day (April 22nd) this year, we packed a week full of opportunities to give back and bring awareness to our environmental efforts. Jenny MacDougall and TUNE Cares teamed up to help bring change by reducing your footprint at home and at TUNE!

YOU ARE THE CHANGE

Our hope was TUNErs would walk away from this week feeling motivated and inspired by the tangible ways they can help our planet, oceans, rainforests, deserts, etc. We'll let you decide for yourselves, but the level of engagement over the past week has us thinking we galvanized a revolution!

Eliminating single-use plastics

Stop sucking & start sipping in style

TUNErs were encouraged to be mindful of their single-use plastic consumption for the week, and the participation here was next level. The image to the left is all of the plastic collected over 5 days, and 2 offices! All of the plastic collected could fit on a 3'x5' tarp - That's unbelievable, team! In our Seattle office alone, we saved 1000 cups from our weekly office order - that's 200 cups a day! Imagine the impact we could make if we practiced this every day moving forward!

Eliminating plastic bottles...FOR GOOD!

Inspired by Earth Week, TUNE Berlin decided to eliminate plastic bottles from their office once and for all! They purchased a Brita filter and soda stream, so no more single-use plastics for our friends across the pond!

60% overall engagement on the Did You Know emails!! We really do hope the buck doesn't stop here, and that you feel inspired to make a difference outside the walls of TUNE. It can start with adopting the simple practice of "Leave It Better Than You Found It."

Strong turnout for our endangered species happy hour! Thank you to everyone for bringing awareness to the threats, and conservation efforts in place for our endangered species. Also for making subtle changes in your daily lives for the preservation of these magnificent creatures.

It was a close one, but Jamie (Fox) Park is our winner for the best mug of the week, and a new owner of a Annual National Forest Pass! Congratulations Jamie!

TUNE 360

TUNE Chefs committing to a local, organic, and sustainable future!

Our talented TUNE chefs sourced all of our ingredients from within 360 miles of our Seattle office. (The vast majority are actually from within 100 miles!). Interestingly, this is not that different from our normal sourcing. While occasionally we'll get in something tropical (bananas, avocados, etc) or a Tuna from Hawaii or fish from Alaska, we are happy to say that the Tune kitchen has been, and will continue to be, committed to a local, sustainable and organic future!

IT collected ALL the Electronic waste!

We easily doubled our efforts in recycling electronics compared to last year! I know some of you wanted to save the fax machine for a reenactment of the "Office", but look at all this properly disposed of iGarbage!
